PEOPLE, PLACES AND THINGS:
SEATTLE MYSTERY BOOKSHOP--NOVEMBER 4, 2006
Larry kicked off his fall tour for
The Ragtime Kid with a signing November 4 at the Seattle Mystery
Bookshop. In spite of a dose of classic Seattle fall weather, windy and rainy,
attendance was good and spirits were high. The book had just come off the press
the day before the signing, then Poisoned Pen Press did a top-speed
drop-shipment to get copies to the bookstore just in time for the signing - so
this was the first time Larry got to see the finished book, and he was very
pleased with its appearance. One customer bought seven copies of The Ragtime
Kid, then declared her Christmas shopping to be over. That's the spirit!
Mary Forster (previously listed here as "unidentified but happy customer"--sorry
about that, Mary!)

date-of-debut signed edition of "The Ragtime Kid"

On the far left, in the yellow shirt, is Bill Farley--founder
of Seattle Mystery Bookshop
(whose work, it seems, is never done.)
Of course, once again that's Mark & Mary Forster,
